As you wander through the treasures of this unique city, you may see the ruins of Lizar Castle, an ancient 9th century Arab castle, in the upper part of the village. The Palace of the Counts of Frigiliana is also one of the monuments not to be missed during your visit : called "La Raffinerie", this ancient 16th century Renaissance palace is today a traditional cane sugar honey factory, unique in Europe.
