To the south of Tarragona, this former fishing village lies off the busy tourist trails, offering peace and serenity to its visitors all year round. Familiar above all, L'Ampolla is organised around its small port. Take the time to stroll through the heart of its old village for a quiet stroll that will allow you to discover the alleys full of history that make L'Ampolla such a pleasant destination. At the bend of a church or a square planted with trees, you will certainly cross the path of restaurants, from where the delicious smells of a spicy cuisine escape. The green lung of Catalonia, often compared to the French Camargue, the Ebro delta is a veritable Eden of peace and nature. A paradise for Sunday walkers and passionate hikers alike, it attracts many visitors curious to discover the lagoon of Bassa de les Olles dotted with rice fields, but also many bird lovers. Birdwatching is one of the most popular activities in L'Ampolla, which is home to a very, very large number of species from all over the world due to its privileged location at the heart of a vast migration corridor. Reed harriers, flamingos, water hens, star bitterns and other colourful kingfishers will amaze young and old alike.

To discover the town on the sea side, L'Ampolla has a wide network of marked paths (including the GR92 in particular) which will allow you to discover all the beauty of the coast and the coastline thanks to old patrol paths on the edge of cliffs. Ah, the cliffs of L'Ampolla... Red and steep, they can be discovered by land, but they are even better revealed from the sea. You can also observe them from the many beaches and coves that dot the coastline, perfect for sunbathing and water sports. From Arenal beach, Maria cove, Capellans beach, Cap Roig beach and Avellanes beach, you can of course swim, bubble in the sun, discover the joys of scuba diving, paddle, surfing and even windsurfing...
