The plus : large accommodation compared to what is rented in the resort, very nice welcome from the person at the reception, shuttle every 1/4 of an hour so you never wait long to come and go, grocery store (limited choice and very expensive but possibility to order fresh bread for the next morning or a raclette /fondue for 9€ per person with loan of equipment included), swimming pool spa (even if it is crowded at the end of the day, it is nevertheless an appreciable plus) The minuses : far from everything : in Orelle, there is nothing (no bakery, spar, no restaurant, no life) so once back from the ski, no possibility to go out in the evening for a little walk. Of course, for some people this is what they are looking for but be aware of it. The gondola brings you very easily and quickly (15mn) to the slopes then another 15/20mn to Val Thorens. Orelle is not a ski in/ski out resort. If the weather is bad and you are not comfortable skiing without visibility at 3200m and/or if the lifts are not working because of bad weather, you are stuck in Orelle! Keep in mind that the weather is unpredictable, it happened to us. Nevertheless an identical studio rental in Val Thorens is twice the price and half the surface. Elevator out of order all the week (not practical when we have to go up 3 floors and then walk back to the building in ski boots). The lock of our ski room on the balcony was broken, we asked for an intervention the very hour of our arrival and it was not repaired all week (not serious but not practical).

Everything is very good except the grocery store where the person is not friendly. nor helpful....no postcards either :( Elevator always out of order:( Apartment very good, very functional equipment, perfect . Shuttle very good .
