During your visit to La Rochelle, only 5 kilometres from the city centre of Houmeau, you will have to visit its arcaded streets, its large private mansions, its pedestrian district and its Big Clock, but also the emblematic Tours of La Rochelle (the Tour Saint-Nicolas, the Tour de la Chaîne and the Tour de la Lanterne), proudly set up at the entrance to the Vieux Port.

To enjoy beautiful white sandy beaches, then it is on the neighbouring Île de Ré that you will have to go. Accessible from La Rochelle, Ile de Ré is a paradise for lovers of water sports and beautiful wild beaches as far as the eye can see. With children, we recommend the "Plage du Gros Jonc" and "Gollandières" beaches at Bois-Plage-en-Ré, the Dauphins beach at La Couarde, the Rivedoux beach at La Flotte, or the "Kit-Chemise" beach at Les Portes-en-Ré. The "Plage de la Combe à l'eau" will be perfect to isolate yourself from the world, when the Grenettes beach and the beaches of Petit-Bec and Lizay will delight water sports aficionados.
