Looking for an elegant holiday? A change of scenery, between authenticity and dynamism, without having to go too far from home? Head for Benerville-sur-Mer, right next to Deauville!

Located on a coastline whose refinement cannot be denied, Benerville-sur-Mer is the proud neighbour of Deauville. In the department of Calvados, in the Normandy region, this town of less than 500 inhabitants contrasts with the other coastal resorts by its intimate and preserved side. Both popular and discreet, in the shadow of its popular neighbours Deauville, Trouville or Cabourg, this town in Lower Normandy nestled along the Côte Fleurie in the Pays d'Auge delights visitors with its splendid historical and architectural heritage. But what to see? To begin with, there is nothing better than a stopover on Mont Canisy: a symbol of the Second World War, this site was a major element of the Atlantic Wall which you can visit, as well as the old bunkers, batteries and other trenches which will forever mark this historic coastline. Moreover, note that from the batteries of Mount Canisy, you can contemplate incomparable panoramas on the Pays d'Auge and almost the entire Côte Fleurie, a must do especially if you like photography. In the heart of the town, the Domaine des Enclos, listed as a Historic Monument, the 11th century Church of Saint-Christophe, the splendid 19th century Château Gabriel, built for Paul Gallimard before being acquired by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Berger in 1983, the Manoir des Caillouets, built in 1906 for the Renault family, as well as the Manoir de Berneville, also known as the "Manoir du Mont-Canisy", complete the list of sites not to be missed when visiting Benerville-sur-Mer.

This dynamic village attracts visitors all year round thanks to its quality infrastructures and its welcoming and soothing character. If its racecourse is often full during horse races, it is its beaches that are the most successful. Also, take the time to walk along the seaside to discover the rocks of the city, which hide many fossils that do not fail to amaze the youngest. Then after this short break in the footsteps of Indiana Jones, head for the beaches! You will find two of them along the Benervillaise coast: the Ammonites beach and the Garenne beach. The first, to the south-east of the resort, stretches as far as Blonville-sur-Mer and offers a perfect setting for a stroll. Bordered by the Yves-Saint-Laurent pedestrian promenade, this superb beach, which is supervised during the summer, has a sailing club which will delight those who enjoy water sports activities. Surfing, sailing, paddle, catamaran, canoeing and sea kayaking or sand yachting are all water sports that you can enjoy in the clear waters of the Channel. Away from the road, La Garenne beach will delight families with its beach clubs, restaurants, mattresses and parasols which give it a chic feel that we love. A break in Deauville, Trouville or even Houlgate and Cabourg further west will complete your stay on the Côte Fleurie, in the seaside resort of Benerville-sur-Mer.
