The charming village of Saint-Jacques-des-Blats is located at an altitude of 1000 meters. Taking advantage of an absolutely magnificent nature, generous as desired in winter as in summer, Saint-Jacques-des-Blats extends over a vast, very vast territory in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of the Volcanoes of Auvergne. On the valley of the Cère and the slopes of the Plomb du Cantal all planted with fir trees, the village sees its origins go back far, far away, the latter having even been cited on the routes of the road to Santiago de Compostela. The major asset of the village? Without a doubt: its absolutely fantastic setting for revitalizing stays. Here, nature sports are a true religion! On the side of the Plomb du Cantal (1855 meters of altitude), you will be able to discover an old chapel of the XVIIth century, and not to miss anything of its marked character by following the routes of the GR400!

But the star of Saint-Jacques-des-Blats is especially the Lioran. This ski resort nestled in the heart of the fir trees is one of the best equipped in the Massif Central.
