The port of Meschers-sur-Gironde is one of its most popular places to stroll: with its wide panoramic views of the wooden squares of the tip of Port Maran and the estuary, this traditional port lives to the rhythm of the tides. Perfect for a walk in the setting sun, it also has many restaurants where you can discover the flavours of local cuisine. After strolling around the port to the sound of the gulls and the sea, head for the marshes and Talmont-sur-Gironde from the Canal des deux mers: this 5 km long itinerary in the heart of the countryside of Michelin is one of its most beautiful discovery trails.
