Now attached to Lamballe and Morieux to form the new commune of "Lamballe-Armor", Planguenoual is a village nestled between land and sea. Between Saint-Brieuc and the very chic seaside resort of Pléneuf-Val-André, on the Côte de Penthièvre, Planguenoual is one of those destinations that few holidaymakers know... And it's so much the better if you're one of those looking for peace and quiet, far from the traditional tourist routes! Made up of several small hamlets, Planguenoual was once a fishing village, as the pretty little houses that you can still see today as you stroll along its seaside promenade testify. But before you rush out to sea, take the time to stroll through the heart of the village to discover its beauty. Typical of the Côtes-d'Armor, with its white houses with grey roofs, neo-Breton houses whose windows and doors are decorated with light granite, Planguenoual is easy to visit on foot or by bike. Discover the statue of Sainte-Barbe in the eponymous chapel, pass by the dovecote of Vaujoyeux (from the 16th century) classified as a Historic Monument since 1982, without forgetting the church of Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul, the beautiful Manoir de la Ville-Méen, and admire the magnificent Domaine du Val, a castle transformed into a restaurant not far from the sea, in a wonderful setting between forest and beaches. Then take a walk in the mussel growing area of Jospinet to taste mussels in a nice restaurant with a view, and stroll for a digestive stroll in the splendid medieval Herbarius garden on the banks of the Coulées stream. Following the meandering stream that flows into the Manche, you will tirelessly arrive at the most beautiful beaches of this quiet little seaside resort.

Ah, the sea: it is definitely the most beautiful asset of Planguenoual. Cut by the cliffs, emblematic of the Penthièvre Coast, the beaches of Planguenoual have the particularity of being adorned with a wide strip of coastal moorland, perfect for picnics, lazing in the shade and walking. Pleasant, because they are very little known and therefore very little frequented, the beaches of Planguenoual are sometimes made up of small pebbles, sometimes of sand, especially in its small creeks on the edge of strikes. Here, one likes quiet swimming, "sunbathing" with the family, and walks in the sunset, to admire the sky and the sea merging into a tangle of magnificent colours. From the Vauglin beach to the beach of Port-Morvan, passing by the Cotentin beach and the Jospinet beach, you are bound to find the perfect place to spread your towel. For more sporty afternoons, you will be able to reach the very popular (and therefore very busy) beaches of Pléneuf-Val-André in a few minutes: immense, and supervised in the summer, these beaches are particularly appreciated by water sports enthusiasts. Giant paddle, sailing, surfing, boating licence, scuba diving, sea trips around the Verdelet islet, longe-côte, sea kayaking, windsurfing, catamaran, SUP, fishing... There will be something for everyone! Finally we can only recommend you to visit Saint-Brieuc and its wonderful bay, Saint-Cast-le-Guildo, Erquy and its cliffs or Saint-Malo at about fifty kilometers, for a perfect discovery of Northern Brittany!
