There are two reasons why people gladly come (and come back) to Kerlouan on holiday: its beaches, and its picturesque village of Ménéham. Located in the heart of the pagan country (which means "pagan" in Breton), Kerlouan is one of those postcard destinations that lovers of Brittany love. With its high dunes, wild grasses, small purple flowers and rows of ruffled kittens, Kerlouan boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in northern Brittany. From the splendid coves of Neiz Vran to the quiet beach of Karreg Hir, those of Vag Du, Nodeven Ruduloc or Crémiou, all are more beautiful than the others. The sportsmen will take the direction of the beach of Boutrouilles, located on the road of the same name. With its dynamic nautical centre, it attracts surfers, paddle fans but also bodyboard and kitesurf fans who come en masse to try to tame its waves as soon as the first rays of sunshine hit. Then there is the C'hi Du beach, along the hamlet of Ménéham. Long, lined with old houses of lime and thatch, it is certainly the most beautiful of the whole commune, perfect for your sunbathing as well as for your idleness.

After having taken advantage of the coastline and its turquoise waters that make Caribbean paradise destinations pale in comparison, head for Ménéham. Known above all for its 17th century guardhouse caught between the rocks, Ménéham is a picturesque little hamlet. With its houses made of old stones covered with thick thatched roofs, this traditional fishermen's village, crossed by the GR34, is today rebuilt exactly as it was in the past. With its old ovens (bread and goémon ovens), open-air exhibitions, museum areas and craftsmen's workshops, this friendly place is the perfect place for a restful or gourmet break, depending on your desires. After having visited it, and after having enjoyed delicious buckwheat pancakes accompanied by a good bowl of cider, do not hesitate to follow the coast via the GR34 towards Brignonan-Plage or Plouguerneau to admire the Lighthouse of the Virgin Island. Brest, Le Conquet, the Kermorvan Lighthouse, Porspoder, Plouescat or Roscoff are also among the must-sees in the sector, not to be missed under any circumstances!
