Nestled in the heart of the "Riviera Bretonne", La Forêt-Fouesnant is located on the Finistère coast, between the seaside resorts of Fouesnant and Concarneau. A picturesque Breton village with a sublime natural heritage, it attracts holidaymakers every year in search of rest and escape.

Authentic: this is how to define the village of La Forêt-Fouesnant. A wonderful blend of softness of life, maritime dynamism and conviviality, the town is dotted with many splendid gardens and beautifully flowered traditional residences, perfect postcards of this destination with its iodized scents. You cannot miss the Gothic church of Notre Dame Izel Vor (16th century) and the Manoir de Mesmeur (18th century), but also the fountains, calvaries, wash houses and chapels that make La Forêt-Fouesnant a city marked by history. Near the Saint-Maudez chapel, you will find Peniti's green theatre: very popular, it hosts a large number of artistic events during the summer period, such as jazz concerts or the Nuits Celtiques de Peniti.

If there is one place inseparable from the history of La Forêt-Fouesnant, it is its port: called "Port La Forêt", the latter is one of the most important places for sports sailing and the second largest marina in Finistère. Hanging in the heart of the Bay of La Forêt, it faces the Glénan archipelago, a perfect paradise for holidaymakers looking for peace and a change of scenery. By boat or by boat, you will be able to go there for a day, to enjoy the wonderful island scenery of these paradisiacal islands, rightly known as the "Breton Caribbean".

Hiking enthusiasts? Head for St. Lawrence Cove and its shores, dotted with multiple hiking trails. Penfoulic Cove is also worth a visit for its beautiful views of the forest coastline: well known to fishermen, it is home to a large number of cockles, clams, oysters and mussels, as well as many species of migratory birds. The famous GR 34 also crosses the town: by taking it for about ten kilometres, you can cover the entire coast of La Forêt-Fouesnant. It will also be possible to reach Fouesnant and its famous Cap Coz beach in a short time, but also the elegant seaside resort of Bénodet in the west, or even, in the east, to head towards Concarneau, appreciated for its beaches, its fishing museum and its magnificent château du Kériolet. Also, the hamlet of Loc Amand and the remains of the former priory of Saint-Amand, the mill of Chef Bois or the Cairn of Saint-Laurent are perfect places to stroll for history buffs.

But the number one asset of La Forêt-Fouesnant is obviously its coastline. The resort's beaches, which are popular with holidaymakers, are ideal for swimming breaks. The main beach of La Forêt-Fouesnant is more than one kilometre long. Well sheltered from the winds, the so-called "Kerleven Beach" is also the busiest. Lazing around, refreshing brews, windsurfing, but also kitesurfing, snorkeling, kayaking, water walking, fishing, wakeboarding and inflatable games will be available on this beautiful stretch of fine sand. Lovers of tranquility? Head for the creeks of St. Lawrence Cove. Accessible by foot via the GR34 trail, these small coves of turquoise water sheltered from view will allow you to flee the beach of the city centre to enjoy moments of rest under the umbrella pines.

Finally, you will not be able to stay in La Forêt-Fouesnant without a visit to its famous Cornwall Golf Club, appreciated by connoisseurs for its 18 holes between land and sea, and without succumbing to the flavours of Brittany. In addition to the traditional buckwheat pancakes, the town is known for its cider which, according to enthusiasts, is one of the best in the whole region.
