Located between Concarneau and Pont-Aven facing the thousand shades of blue of the Finistère coast, Névez, a small seaside resort full of charm, is the perfect combination of nature and elegance.

Dynamic, cultural, exotic, Névez has everything to please holidaymakers looking for wide open spaces. A flagship destination in South Britain, it is known for its rich heritage, and more particularly for its astonishing houses made of "standing stones". These ancient residences, whose origins date back to the very early 20th century, are made of granite and topped with thick thatched roofs. Their small coloured doors, blue shutters and massive purple hydrangeas that line their fences make it a perfect postcard that is typically Breton. In addition to their external beauty, these houses are unique thanks to their standing stones, the "Men Zao", which you can only observe in the Nevez and Trégunc areas. The municipality shelters other small corners of paradise, like its two ports. Located along the Aven, the port of Kerdruc is the most traditional of Breton ports: its quiet setting, stone houses, moored sailing boats and seafood tasting huts make it a picturesque place, perfect for bubbling with the scent of iodized air. The place is also ideal for kayaking excursions to discover the landscapes along the Aven, which runs between lush vegetation and luxurious villas. Its neighbour, Port Manec'h, is recognizable by its high lighthouse painted red and white: located at the mouth of the Belou and the Aven, this high seaside resort reached its peak during the Belle Époque, as shown by the superb villas overlooking the sea (the Julia hotel in particular, a landmark for painters). Hiking, horse riding, cycling, boating, sunbathing... This small seaside resort is a concentration of everything that is best done in the area. When it comes to hiking, the GR 34 is THE reference along the Breton coast: in Névez, this itinerary passes near the Hénan tidal mill. On the banks of the Aven, this 15th century tidal mill is one of the oldest sites in the town: perfect for family walks or bike rides, this site is located in the heart of a peaceful and shaded green setting. You can see an old castle, the Sainte-Marguerite chapel, three old fountains, or observe many species of birds, from the grey heron to the great cormorant, including the egret and the late Belon, a kind of small goose recognizable by its red beak with a strange shape.

As for swimming, Névez easily enters the top of the most beautiful beaches in Brittany! In addition to Port Manec'h beach, the resort has three large white sandy beaches, all bordered by magnificent water. Dourveil beach is located to the west, on the edge of Trégunc: calm and rarely crowded, it is better known by surfers who come to tame its waves on windy days. The amazing beach of Rospico is only 40 metres wide and 200 metres long: rather wild, it is appreciated by fishermen on foot and hikers on the GR 34 who come to make a refreshing stopover. Finally, Tahiti beach is a real rare pearl: considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Finistère, it would take its name from the painter Gauguin who lived not far from there. Its turquoise and sparkling water, its clear sand and dunes make it look like a small paradise at the end of the world.
