In the heart of the Pays Bigouden, Lesconil, or "Leskon" in Breton, takes place on a coast well known to lovers of authentic Brittany, between Loctudy and the historic port of Guilvinec. Facing the Glénans archipelago, the commune is now attached to the town of Plobannalec to form the town of Plobannalec-Lesconil. Lesconil is the southernmost part of the town, whose history has been intimately linked to the maritime tradition for centuries. Famous for its fishing activity, particularly trawling until the mid-19th century, the fishing port of Lesconil is particularly pleasant to stroll around. As far as built heritage is concerned, the 19th century Saint-Alour church is worth a look for its medieval furniture, as is the Saint-Brieuc chapel, easily identifiable thanks to its flamboyant Gothic style. Washhouses, crosses, megaliths and calvaries dot the landscape, giving Lesconil a typical Breton charm! To complete your discovery, visit the 16th century manor house of Kerhoas, the castle of Kerlut, not forgetting the semaphore on the Goudoul point, the lying menhir of Kerdalaë-Lesconil, the neolithic site of Quélarn and the Goudoul Rock.

Dynamic, Lesconil hosts several cultural events during the summer, including the Fête des Vieux Métiers, which resounds to the sound of binious and bombards, as well as the Langoustine Festival, which brings together many visitors curious to taste local products, visit the fishing boats and discover seafood. Ah, the sea is definitely Lesconil's most beautiful asset. Thanks to its nautical centre, you will be able to take part in a whole host of activities ranging from water walking to courses to discover the marine environment, not forgetting canoeing, catamaraning, sea kayaking, sailing, stand up paddle and surfing, all perfect activities that will allow you to discover all the beauty of the Bigouden coastline. On the two well exposed beaches of the seaside resort, sand castle competitions, sunbathing and swimming will be the order of the day! Beaches that hikers love to walk along during their excursions on the GR34 paths, whether on foot or by bike! This long-distance hiking trail will also take you to the Eckmühl Lighthouse, located about ten kilometres from Lesconil. So that you don't miss anything of this pretty corner of Brittany!
