Dating from the Neolithic period, the covered alley of Kermeur-Bihan, 16 metres long, is one of the most famous megaliths in the commune. Testifying to the ancient history of the city, this monument has revealed many treasures during its excavations, such as axes, vases and tools of the time. The Chapelle Saint-Philbert is also worth a visit : erected in the 16th century, this listed building will surprise you with its structure in the shape of an inverted boat. Its attractive Gothic style and wooden statues give it a unique character, as do the fountain and the calvary located near the building.

Walk along the paths along the rivers and along the coast, discovering the beautifully preserved nature of this part of Brittany. Through the abundant vegetation and cliffs, you will discover sumptuous panoramas over the emerald sea.

Water sports addicts can take advantage of the beaches of Moëlan-sur-Mer to indulge in their favourite activities. Close to the mouth of the Bélon is Kerfany beach: nestled in a protected area, it is ideal for families who can swim safely, while enjoying a multitude of activities, provided by the nautical center of Beg Porz: surfing, paddle, sailing or kayaking are among the most popular sports. At sea or on rivers, there is no shortage of kayaking routes in the Moëlan-sur-Mer area. It is also an ideal way to discover its coastline, its secret coves and its sumptuous cliffs bordering the sea. Just as family as the previous beach, the beach of Trénez, facing Ile Percée, is a place of fishing on foot adored by the inhabitants of Moëlan. But this vast expanse of sand bears witness to the heckled history of the region: there were two German blockhouses there during the Second World War. If they are destroyed today, you can still see the ruins of the bridge that connected these bunkers to the beach. Besides having long beaches with magnificent natural scenery, Moëlan is also famous for its many ports. Classified "Port d'Intérêt Patrimonial en 2016", the port of Brigneau is worth a look. Nestled in the hollow of a turquoise water ria, it is the starting point of many hikes through coastal paths and land. You can reach the peninsula of Merrien in 3 hours from this port: dominated by the "Maison des Douaniers", this peninsula and its port are dedicated to the breeding of shellfish and oysters. It is a must for gourmets who will be able to taste fresh products, like the flat oyster of Bélon. Moreover, this island hides magnificent itineraries of stroll, offering superb points of view on the ria and the nearby port. Breathe its fresh iodized air, and take the time to picnic, or spend an afternoon in the shade of the woods of this relaxing nature site. The Bélon harbour is also very popular with holidaymakers, thanks to its breathtaking view of the coast, its oyster river and its fish market. Gourmets hurry there to buy sardines, langoustines and fresh salmon, which they will taste later, facing the sea, a glass of Cornouaille cider in the hand.
