The commune of Plogoff is located in the department of Finistère. A coastal destination located 45 kilometres from Quimper, Plogoff is reputed to be the "end of Europe", thanks to its most beautiful treasure, the Pointe du Raz. An exceptional territory, the Pointe du Raz dominates part of the famous Baie des Trépassés from its 72 meters high. Overlooking the sea from its rocky promontory, from its heights it has a jagged, jagged and captivating granite decor, from which emanates an almost brutal charm that makes these cliffs one of the wildest panoramas in France. Its rocks covered with moorland give it the appearance of Scotland or Ireland, a breathtakingly unusual cachet. From the tip, the landscapes on the open sea, the Isle of Sein, the lighthouses of Tévennec and La Vieille will offer themselves to you, in a setting preserved by human hands worthy of the most beautiful harbour maps of the region. Accessible thanks to hiking and mountain bike trails, this site swept by the sea and the winds offers grandiose shows depending on the weather and the seasons. From the heart of Plogoff, you can easily get there by following the GR34 trails, which will also take you through the Cap Sizun ornithological reserve to the Pointe du Van. The Baie des Trépassés below is a real little paradise for the eyes of the contemplative as well as for the muscles of the sportsmen. Here, the turquoise water caresses the absolutely magnificent clear sand, which itself skims the cliffs of the Pointe du Raz and Pointe du Van. In addition to its unique setting for swimming or lazing around, hiking and visits to caves in the cliffs (at low tide), the Baie des Trépassés beach is a pure Eden for water sports aficionados. Famous spot among surfers, well exposed to the swell, it attracts many sportsmen and women who come to challenge its sometimes capricious waves.

Besides a natural heritage to be damned, Plogoff is also a remarkable built heritage that we advise you to discover. Marked by history and in particular by the Second World War and the Landing, this city dates back to the Neolithic period. The 16th century church of Saint-Collodan is worth a visit for its decorations and for the breathtaking views it offers from its bell tower; but Plogoff's religious heritage does not stop there! Several chapels dot the commune's territory, such as the Notre-Dame du Bon Voyage chapel, built on the seafront during the 17th century, or the Saint-André chapel and the Saint-Michel chapel. Crosses, calvaries and other megaliths will complete your discovery of this little corner of paradise "made-in BZH"!

The good tables nearby: the best creperie of France 2020 in the Pointe du Raz, "Monsieur Papier" and its smoked fish ...hummm. A little further on, the restaurants "Le Bigorneau Amoureux" in Douarnenez and "La Coquille" in Concarneau, not forgetting the visit of the walled city not to be missed. You should also visit the pottery "Toramur".superb creations and a friendly couple of potters who take the time to share their passion with tourists. Then again: many landscapes and good things to discover...
