In the heart of the Bigouden region, Plomeur flourishes on the coast of Brittany, about thirty kilometres from Quimper. If there is one undeniable fact in Plomeur, it is that the resort lives at the rhythm of the sea. Morning, evening, summer, winter, it vibrates with the tides and waves all year round. Its most emblematic site: the tip of the Torch! A paradise on earth for surfers, it sees thousands of athletes gather on its shores every year. With its waves more than three metres high and its currents (such as the one called "the elevator"), it is the ideal place to surf in Brittany, if you are a little experienced in this area. But for the novices to be reassured, the Torch also has a surf school, ideal for beginners to learn about the joys of skiing in an unparalleled setting. As for water sports, in addition to surfing, Plomeur will allow you to discover a wide range of disciplines, from sailing to canoeing, paddle, jet-ski, bodyboard, windsurfing and kitesurfing. From the beach of La Torche to the beach of Kermabec and Tronoen, there are more than a dozen fine sandy beaches along the Plomeur coast. Lazing around, swimming with your family, strolling along the dunes, all with the turquoise of the Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop... Admit that there are worse places to go on holiday!

Walkers? Don't miss a good invigorating stroll by the sea to discover the mythical ports of Saint-Guénolé and Le Guilvinec, just a few steps from Plomeur. Whether you are on foot, by bike or on horseback, you will find in Plomeur a multitude of walking routes according to your desires and your level. The "Penker ar Bloaz" circuit (7 kilometres), the "Treminou circuit" (9 kilometres), the Torch Point mountain bike loop (35 kilometres), the Solar Wind Route, and the West Cornwall Heritage Trails seem to be all chosen to allow you to discover the most beautiful faces of Plomeur. The most courageous will certainly go to the magnificent Eckmühl Lighthouse: located 10 kilometres from the heart of Plomeur, on the tip of Penmarc'h, it dominates from its 60 metres high the whole of Audierne Bay... A panorama that must be deserved, since you will still have to climb 307 high steps to reach its summit! But if there is one itinerary that is inseparable from Brittany, it is certainly the GR34. Along the coast from north to south, it will allow you to contemplate breathtaking views of the sea, but also to observe many species of seabirds, such as petrels, cormorants and gannets. Finally, in spring, the tip of the Torch is adorned with its most beautiful colours as its tulips and hyacinths bloom, spread over wide fields as far as the eye can see: you will absolutely have to go there, equipped with your camera to capture this unique show! This fragrant and dazzling stroll is one of the most beautiful in the resort, with splendid panoramic views of the sea and Audierne Bay.
