In the very north of Brittany, halfway between Brest and Morlaix, Plounéour-Trez is a real little concentrate of all that is best in Brittany. Granite rocks, white sand and turquoise sea as far as the eye can see, this is what awaits you if, however, it is on this small commune of Finistère that you set your sights for your holidays.

Close your eyes and imagine: the sun gently caressing your skin, the soft sand rolling under your feet, the iodized air tickling your nostrils and that silence, broken only by the gentle backwash of the waves that come to touch the granite rocks planted facing the sea for centuries... Open your eyes, you are not dreaming: here you are in Plounéour-Trez. In the heart of what is rightly called the "Coast of Legends", Plounéour-Trez is adorned along its coastline with ancient rocks, which for centuries have become the emblem of this little corner of Brittany. His main asset? Its beaches, no doubt about it. Located for the most part along the road to Caouloc, they are easily accessible and well preserved from the concreting which unfortunately rages more and more on the seaside resorts of the hexagon. Served by small car parks from which they are protected by dunes with abundant vegetation, these wild beaches have everything to please. Long, wide, quiet and well exposed, covered with white sand perfect for taking a nap or basking in the sun, they are wide open to the Channel. In the Anse du Goulven, the Menhir beach will delight water sports enthusiasts: although the water is a little cool (we are still in the north of Brittany!), it remains absolutely beautiful, and perfect for surfing, sailing, kitesurfing, scuba diving, optimist, paddle or sand yachting, depending on your desires. From the beach of Lividic to the beach of Reor ar Mor, passing by that of Kerurus, it is all the beauty of the seaside resort of Plounéour-Trez which will be offered to you. In addition to being ideal for sunbathing in peace and quiet, as well as for family swimming, these bums will delight fishing fans on foot who will be able to pick up cockles, flatfish, shrimps and crabs.

Hikers, for their part, will be able to enjoy a whole host of marked routes both inland and along the seafront. The coastal path of the GR34 runs along the whole of Brittany and passes through Plounéour-Trez: perfect for discovering the town from side to side, it will lead you to meet the picturesque rocks with strange shapes that dot the coastline. During your expeditions through Plounéour-Trez and along its coast, in the direction of Brignonan-Plage, Ménez Ham or Plouescat, you will discover its small port, but also a huge menhir over 8 meters high, its old Pol chapel and its calvary. The Pontusval lighthouse (at the tip of Beg Pol) will offer you a splendid postcard of the region, while the village of Meneham will plunge you into the heart of Breton history thanks to its old thatched hamlet, which houses exhibitions as well as a famous 17th century guardrail caught between the rocks.
