The small village of Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie is located in a region prized for its gastronomic and cultural riches. In the Occitanie region, this village established just north of Uzès is a small concentrate of all the best that the Mediterranean has to offer. Here, onlookers love to stroll along the warm streets with their ochre-coloured facades, the flowery and shady streets that invite you to take your time. Take the time to chat, to take a closer look at the doors and windows of these stone houses, and to push open the doors of galleries and other museums that have flourished in the heart of the old village over the years. Here, you can visit the many pottery workshops and shops: because it is indeed the art of pottery that gave the town its name! If the pottery tradition has made the reputation of the village since the 14th century, it has managed to reinvent itself while preserving its traditions, thanks to nearly thirty potters still active in the town, which have enabled Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie to obtain the label of "Ville et Métiers d'Art" since 1995. The Museum of Mediterranean Pottery, housed in an old oil mill, is a must-see and tells the story of the village and its intimate relationship with pottery over the centuries. The little extra? Lovers of "do it yourself" can even learn pottery at the Atelier Terre, a must to discover this ancestral art!

But in Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie, the visits do not stop there! A particularly charming town, it boasts a splendid heritage that you can discover during your visits. Our advice? Take a little height, towards the Clock Tower! From its summit, you can marvel at a breathtaking panorama over the whole town, but also its neighbour Uzès, stretching as far as the Cévennes. The list of things to see includes the 19th century Griffe fountain, the old 18th century oven, the ruins and the millstones of the Cantadure tower, the Madonne and its ochres, the Capitelles, the Aven de Valorgue and the eponymous Baume which was used as a shelter in the Palaeolithic period. With good shoes, or on bicycles, you can also hike through the ploughed land, the olive groves and the vineyards that dot the landscape of the commune, heading north to the Concluses de Lussan in the heart of the garrigue, or to the Monastère de Solan. To the south, it is Avignon, Uzès, or the Pont du Gard (perfect site for hiking in canoe or kayak) that will not fail to hold your attention.
