Continue your exploration of the fabulous heritage of the Gironde by visiting Bordeaux. As you stroll along the quays, you will appreciate the facades of the houses of the XVIIIth century whose elegant harmony was hailed by a inscription on the World Heritage of Unesco. You can also admire the Place de la Bourse, its immense mirror of water and, in the heart of the city, the Saint-André cathedral, the Pey-Berland tower and the Grand Theater. Then, discover the magnificent medieval city of Saint-Émilion. With its stone houses, its small staircases, its tower of the Roy and its monolithic church, it has an incomparable charm. To fully appreciate the other natural and cultural resources of the Gironde, you will be able to borrow the many paths that crisscross it. With 4200 kilometers of hiking trails, more than half open to mountain bikes and 700 kilometers of cycle paths, the department invites you to discover the regional park of the Landes de Gascogne, the great lakes (Hourtin-Carcans, Lacanau and Cazaux) or the unavoidable Routes du Vin.
