Rich with a very ancient history, the commune with Gallo-Roman origins was for a long time an agricultural town, famous in particular for its wine-growing, before turning to tourism. An authentic land, bathed in light and unconditionally turned towards water, Saint-Vivien-de-Médoc offers its visitors a unique setting for holidays in harmony with nature. The "Tour de Ville" of Saint-Vivien-de-Médoc is the perfect way to discover the town and its contours. Along this itinerary, you will discover the heart of the village with its 6th century church which has been restored many times, but also the port of Saint-Vivien studded with small fishing huts, and the oyster basin. For swimming, head north to the beaches of Verdon-sur-Mer, Soulac-sur-Mer or Grayan-et-l'Hôpital. These beaches, long and wide open on the estuary and the Atlantic Ocean, will be absolutely perfect for both hiking and relaxing. Accessible by bike, on foot or by car, these family beaches will allow you to swim, but also to practice a whole range of water activities according to your desires.
