Rich with a very ancient history, the commune with Gallo-Roman origins was for a long time an agricultural town, famous in particular for its wine-growing, before turning to tourism. The "Tour de Ville" of Saint-Vivien-de-Médoc is the perfect way to discover the town and its contours. For swimming, head north to the beaches of Verdon-sur-Mer, Soulac-sur-Mer or Grayan-et-l'Hôpital. These beaches, long and wide open on the estuary and the Atlantic Ocean, will be absolutely perfect for both hiking and relaxing. Accessible by bike, on foot or by car, these family beaches will allow you to swim, but also to practice a whole range of water activities according to your desires.
