On the west coast of Basse-Terre, called the Côte-sous-le-Vent, this town of just under 60 square kilometers is bounded on the east by steep ridges, on the south by the Colas River and its neighbor Bouillante, and on the north by the Petite Anse ravine. The National Park of Guadeloupe is a real treasure: walk through the orchid park, the Mamelles park which will delight hikers, as well as the Morne à Louis and the forest which covers a large part of the city.
