Les Carroz d'Arâches is a real nugget nestled in the heart of the Haute-Savoie mountains. Particularly appreciated by parents as much as children, it is labelled "Famille Plus resort" and offers quality services for young and old. Situated between 1140 and 2500 metres above sea level on a large sunny plateau, it benefits from generous snow conditions, guaranteeing long days of skiing with family or friends in one of the largest ski areas, "Le Grand Massif".

With its 265 kilometres of slopes and its 1800 metres of cumulative altitude difference, between the Mont-Blanc massif and Lake Geneva, the resort enjoys a privileged location and offers winter sports enthusiasts a vast choice of activities. Whether you are an experienced skier or beginner, a hiking enthusiast or a lover of relaxation, you will necessarily find your happiness at Les Carroz.

During your outings in the Carroz resort, you will have the chance to admire marvellous panoramas on the Mont-Blanc, covered with an immaculate snowy mantle. Emeritus skiers will have a field day on the red and black slopes of the resort, while hikers will be able to enjoy numerous cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing trails through the spruce forests in the middle of the mountain pastures. The Cascades trail, 14 kilometres long, is certainly the most emblematic of the domain. A real breath of fresh air, this mythical spot in the Carroz resort is right in the middle of a natural reserve of magnificent beauty. It is also the most "wild" place in the resort, far from the ski lifts and any trace of urbanization. Between the plains, the waterfalls, and the lake, you may have the chance to meet ibexes, eagles and chamois. This blue trail linking the Grandes Platières to the village of Sixt Fer à Cheval runs through landscapes that young and old will not soon forget.

Sledding, dog sledding, ice quad riding, snowshoeing, horseback skiing, mountain biking, snowmobiling, glacier hiking, paragliding and skating... whether you are in the snow, on the ice or in the air, all means are good to make the most of your holiday in the mountains. Children can even have fun in many play areas: the luge area in the Bardelle sector in particular offers animations on the theme of the cartoon "The Ice Age", with buoy descents and inflatable games. The Oasis area will be the meeting place for speed lovers. The youngest will be able to learn boardercross (blue level), slalom and test the 20 modules of the snowpark (blue level) of the resort. You can also film your sporting achievements in the "video-zone" to bring back a small souvenir of your holidays.

For even more adrenaline, know that the Carroz ski area has a freeride area. Off-piste skiers and snowboarders will inevitably come to taste the thick powder of the Corbalanche area: they will thus be able to descend the slopes of the snow-covered massifs in complete safety (the area is marked out).

Finally, the Carroz Aquacime area is not to be missed under any pretext : let yourself go to a few moments of relaxation in a complex of 1500 square meters totally dedicated to relaxation and well-being. Massages, treatments, sauna, hammam, solarium or outdoor swimming pool heated to 30°C in front of the snowy peaks... Where will you start ?

The resort has set up a lot of activities to compensate for the closure of the lifts. Can't wait for next year!

Special COVID year so many shops closed, no restaurant. On the other hand, we were able to ski tour the whole area without ever meeting more than 5 people. I doubt it will happen again one day - at least I hope so - but there was something really unique about it.

If you like good food at a reasonable price, we recommend "L'Agora" located in the village square.
