Explore Chantemerle
Nestled at 1,350 meters above sea level in the Hautes-Alpes, the charming village of Chantemerle is a favorite destination for both winter and summer sports enthusiasts. Located in the Guisane valley, belonging to the Serre Chevalier estate, The largest ski resort of the Southern Alps, makes it the ideal place to enjoy the mountain and its many assets.
Since the construction of the cable car in 1941, Serre Chevalier welcomes beginners and confirmed on a hundred tracks of all levels. The quality of the snow cover of the valley is unanimously recognized, which has allowed the field to appear several times among the stages of the World Cup of Alpine skiing during the 90's. In Chantemerle itself, also find the ice rink in order to share A moment of sporting pleasure with family or friends.
At the foot of the slopes, many restaurants make you discover the flavors of the mountain. The Loup Blanc, favorite of the regulars, welcomes you warmly in a typical setting. Ideal for relaxing after a busy day, its menu offers a quality cuisine composed mainly of local specialties equally tempting. In the winter, come and sit warmly by the fireplace to taste a prepared "old-fashioned" raclette. In the summer season, its terrace offers a remarkable view on the Luc Alphand trail.
During the summer, there is plenty to do ! Hiking trails for hundreds of kilometers take you to the depths of the mountains and confront unforgettable landscapes. Ten bike parks entertain young and old alike for an afternoon in the sun. For the most challenging, go to Parc Aventure. A perfect mix of sports and adrenaline, the park is accessible to all, even toddlers, in cable and climbing routes lasting several hours in which you will not set foot on the ground.
Chantemerle offers you the opportunity to come and refresh yourself in artificial pools called "bio baths". Protected from external pollution, they aim to reproduce the conditions of a natural aquatic environment. Dive your head first into the mountain of Chantemerle !
