In the department of Hérault, on the border of the Gard, Boisseron takes place in the heart of the Occitanie region. Adjacent to Sommières, 18 kilometres from Lunel and about thirty kilometres from Nîmes and Montpellier, this village has all the cards in hand to enable you to discover all the treasures of this beautiful corner of the hexagon.

Watered by the Vidourle, the small village of Boisseron has everything to please holidaymakers looking for a stay in harmony with nature. Historical and conducive to "green" outings, Boisseron multiplies invitations to come and discover its most beautiful faces. Of its glorious past, Boisseron has carefully preserved a few sites, such as the bases of a very old Roman bridge: built in the 1st century, this bridge spans the Benovia to link Nîmes to Vendragues. During your walks, you will also discover a large fortified Romanesque gate, as well as the remains of the thick ramparts which still leave their mark on the village today. The 19th century church and its 20th century bell tower, the town hall and the old train station are just some of the features of Boisseron's heritage that you will need to see during your stay. But to discover all the uniqueness of this quiet little corner, take the time to walk up its old streets studded with small stone houses, all leading tirelessly to the castle located on the heights of the town. Built in place of an ancient Roman tower, it is reputed to have hosted Blanche de Castille and Saint-Louis. The site, more than 2000 years old, is poorly maintained: here, nature has regained its rights around the meanders of Benovia and vegetation abounds, finally invading the building in a poetic way. If it is not officially visited, this spot is well known to "urbex" amateur photographers, who will not fail to return from their holidays with a few shots of the building.

As for activities, Boisseron will delight climbing and via ferrata fans. Hikers will be able to take advantage of several walking trails as well as cyclists who will find in the village a few well-arranged circuits to allow them a perfect discovery of the place. Along the Virdoule River, you can also come across small pebble beaches, perfect for swimming in the shade of the vegetation that abounds along the banks of the river. And if you like water activities, head for Sommières to embark from its canoe base to discover the villages crossed by the Virdoule: a nice trip to do with your family!

Boisseron is also the perfect place to stay if you love the sea. And not just any Mediterranean. As the beaches of La Grande-Motte and Grau-du-Roi are only a thirty-minute drive away, you will be able to find your feet warm in the golden sand of the beaches of these seaside resorts in no time at all. In addition to lazing around and swimming, you can also take advantage of this opportunity to (re)discover a whole host of water sports according to your desires: surfing, scuba diving, speedboats, towed buoys, sailing, paddling, wakeboarding, longe-côte and water skiing will satisfy young and old alike.
