Proudly set at an altitude of 185 metres, Fabrègues enjoys a generous climate and an exceptional location at the foot of the Gardiole massif. Located 15 kilometres south-west of Montpellier and 15 minutes from Vic Pond, Thau Pond and the Mediterranean Sea, Fabrègues is the perfect city for a sunny stay at the gateway to the most beautiful shores of the Occitania region.
Fabrègues is a cultural destination par excellence, a dynamic city that has nothing to envy to the great metropolises of France. Archaeology, bullfighting, viticulture, but also painting, dances, songs and local folk traditions, these are all themes that punctuate the life of Fabrégois and Fabrégoises throughout the year. Built in "circulade", this small medieval village is a place where it is good to stroll. During your peregrinations in the course of its residences, you will surely see some vestiges of an oppidum dating from the 5th century BC, witness of the occupation of the city well before the Middle Ages. With its churches, museums and castles, Fabrègues marvels by the beauty of its built heritage. You can find the 11th century Saint Baudie chapel perched at the top of the Gardiole massif, castles built by the Romans, the listed bell tower of the village church with its bell towers, but also splendid Renaissance and medieval residences in its upper quarter, dotted with fortified gates. Authentic and preserved, this district is the oldest but also the most emblematic of the commune. We advise you to go there to observe a 360° panorama on the Mediterranean, the Saint-Loup peak and the green areas of the surrounding massifs.
Crossed by the Coulazou whose banks are a fantastic place to walk and relax, Fabrègues has everything to please young and old, as evidenced by the children's playgrounds along the stream. Restaurants in Fabrègues very good: to be advised (except the one near the church - less good). Golf restaurant very good, the owner is great and the staff: to be advised. Otherwise, pleasant holidays: the beaches are not too far away (we took advantage of it), sea trip for walking and fishing.

We recommend the restaurant "Le XV" in Fabrègues: excellent food and very good value for money.
