Sticking to the elegant seaside resort of Dinard, opposite Saint-Malo, Pleurtuit is undeniably a city turned towards the water. Surrounded by two coastal rivers, the Rance to the east and the Frémur to the west, it fascinates by the sumptuousness of its panoramas, which change according to the weather and the seasons. The most beautiful jewel of Pleurtuit is undoubtedly the estuary of the Rance. A tidal river, it is lined with numerous mills that once worked thanks to the water, such as the Moulin Neuf, Montmarin or La Garde. On the visiting side, Pleurtuit will be able to satisfy all your desires since the commune has a splendid heritage, which you can discover with the help of marked trails for adults and children alike. The GR34 in particular, the famous path that runs along the entire Brittany coast, will be perfect for discovering some of the most beautiful sites that Pleurtuit and the Rance have to offer. The Château de Montmarin, for a start, is one of these sites to see: built on the banks of the Rance in 1760 by a shipowner from Saint-Malo, this sublime castle is particularly worth a visit for its superb gardens, rich in a large collection of flowers and other species, which dominate the estuary and descend in successive stages to the banks of the river. Also, by taking the time to stroll around Pleurtuit, you will certainly fall under the charm of the old noble farms, typical Breton residences and sumptuous manor houses that have flourished in the commune over the years. The 15th century manor of Bois Chauchard, the malouinière and the manor of Saudrais, but also the manor of the "Grande Maison", that of Clos Quelen, or the splendid milling houses of Le Val, Pont Touraude, Les Moulins aux Fières or Pomphily are particularly worth seeing. The visit of the church and its bell tower, but also the fortified manor houses with machicolations like those of Pomphily and the Boterel town will complete your visit of Pleurtuit.

After these city visits, let's head for the more natural Pleurtuit. The Pointe de Cancaval, not far from the Montmarin castle, is the perfect place for a good dose of iodized air: a particularly pleasant place to walk, this rocky outcrop offers hikers splendid views of the ria, the dam, and the emerald-coloured sea below. The Voie Verte linking Dinard to Pleurtuit is also a must for pedestrians, but also for horse riders and cyclists, who will be able to discover some beautiful corners of the Emerald Coast thanks to the numerous itineraries, including the ponds of the Moulin Neuf, the banks of the Frémur and the small hamlet of La Moisiais, whose origins date back to Roman times. In addition, 20 hiking routes cross the coast, including three in the commune of Pleurtuit, for bucolic strolls between land, estuary and sea, particularly recommended for walkers in search of tranquillity and parentheses in the green. Finally, for swimming, sunbathing and water sports, head for the beaches of Dinard, Saint-Lunaire and Saint-Briac-sur-Mer!
