Saint-Père, also called Saint-Père-Marc-en-Poulet, is located in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine, in the region of Brittany. Quiet, authentic village, 13 kilometers from Saint-Malo and 13 kilometers from Cancale, it is ideally located to allow lovers of space and fresh air to spend incredible holidays on the Breton coast.

Bordered by the river Rance for more than 4 kilometers, Saint-Père is one of the oldest parishes in the territory of Clos-Poulet, and its foundation would go back to the 6th century, thus translating a very old origin. As you stroll through Saint-Père, you will notice that it is above all the 18th century that has left its mark on the town. Its main treasure? The Saint-Père Fort! Built between 1777 and 1785 by none other than the famous Vauban in order to protect the Breton lands from English invasions, this vast defensive device now hosts many cultural events throughout the year, including the Route du Rock. A beacon of local culture, Fort Saint-Père is also appreciated by sportsmen and women for its mountain bike base, from which 6 circuits are available, perfect for discovering Saint-Père and the Breton region on your pedals. You will discover that Saint-Père is today a renowned cereal-growing area, surrounded by fields of flax, rapeseed, potatoes and orchards planted with cider apple trees.

A land marked by history and the sea, Saint-Père is studded with splendid dwellings, such as the Malouinière de la Picaudais, the Château du Bois-Martin, the Malouinière de Launay-Ravilly and the Malounière Le Bois Martin, which dates from 1725 On the religious side, you will have the opportunity to visit the Saint-Roch chapel, but also the Saint-Pierre church, the Saint-David de la Mare de Saint-Père-Marc-en-Poulet priory, or the Beauchet tide mill, located over the pond of the same name.

Also, while passing through Saint-Père, take the opportunity to visit Cancale and its legendary Pointe du Grouin, or even Saint-Malo! A seaside destination par excellence, Saint-Malo is worth a visit for its architecture, its renowned restaurants, but also for its splendid beaches! Elected "Most Beautiful Beach in France", the beach of the Sillon, located between the National Fort and the Pointe de Rochebonne is a must! More than 3 kilometres long, this white sandy beach is loved by visitors for water sports such as catamaran, sand yachting and paddle boarding, as well as for sunbathing and swimming. Our advice?
