A sunny village in the heart of the mountains, perched above the plain of Bourg d'Oisans, Villard-Reculas is ideally located for those who dream of a mountain holiday. Between authenticity and practicality, nature and outdoor activities, there is no doubt that Villard-Reculas will amaze the whole family.

Perched at an altitude of 1450 metres, the village of Villard-Reculas is a real gem in the heart of the mountains. In the department of Isère, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, Villard-Reculas is one of the four villages of the magnificent Eau d'Olle Valley in Oisans. Overlooking the Romanche valley, this charming village is part of the Alpe d'Huez Grand Domaine Ski area, on one of the slopes of the Grandes Rousses massif, and offers its visitors a choice location for sporting activities in the heart of the mountains. If the first asset of the village is its location, its second asset, and not the least, is its sunshine. Facing south, it guarantees sunshine at all times, and offers incredible panoramic views of the high peaks of Oisans, Taillefer, Belledone, Prégentil and the plain of Bourg-d'Oisans.

A traditional mountain village, it is still home to old farms that you can visit (especially farms where delicious goat cheese is produced!), but also an old church, authentic old streets, a church, a wash house and mountain pastures that testify to its rural past. If the village has long lived from agriculture, it is now a flagship destination for ski lovers who, thanks to the Oisans Trail Station, come in large numbers to enjoy its magnificent landscapes. Like any mountain village resort, Villard-Reculars offers a whole range of activities to be enjoyed on its snowy slopes, but also to be done during the summer, when the mountain is shedding its thick white coat. What's on the agenda? Mountain biking, bicycle touring, but also climbing and trail running in the summer, to which can be added skiing, snowshoeing, snowboarding and a whole host of other sports in the winter, depending on your wishes. Worth noting? The Oisans Trail Station has more than 470 kilometres of marked trails that are totally free to discover in your trainers! In addition, experienced and novice skiers alike can enjoy the 250 kilometres of marked runs of the Alpe d'Huez Grand Domaine Ski, fun runs, 42.8 kilometres of Nordic runs, off-piste forest sectors (La Forêt freeride area), and a whole host of après-ski activities for young and old alike. All in all: enough to spend an incredible sporting holiday, summer and winter, in the heart of the Villard-Reculas mountains!
