Bordered to the south-east by the meanders of the Adour, Saint-Geours-de-Maremne is the ideal place to set down your suitcases for a holiday to conquer the most beautiful corners of the Landes. Saint-Geours-de-Maremne is far enough away from the big tourist destinations to avoid the crowds but close enough to enjoy their many attractions, Saint-Geours-de-Maremne is above all known for being home to the Labeyrie company, the jewel in the crown of French gastronomy in terms of foie gras production. But what makes people come (and come back!) to Saint-Geours-de-Maremne is above all its location. In just a few pedal strokes for mountain bike enthusiasts, while hiking or by car, it will be easy for you to reach some of the department's most popular destinations. The Etang Blanc and Etang Noir de Tosse, 12 kilometres away, are perfect for a relaxing break: in the heart of a wild and idyllic landscape, these lakes, well known to fishermen, are also loved by canoe and kayak enthusiasts who can enjoy the lake amidst reeds and wild ducks. While the atmosphere on the white lake side is bright, on the deeper black lake side there is an almost mystical atmosphere. Young and old alike will be able to go around it, and take advantage of its wooden pontoon to observe dragonflies, otters, turtles and woodpeckers hidden in the fern and reeds! The pond of Soustons 14 kilometres away and its "Dinosaur Park" is worth the detour: a marine lake very popular with visitors, this listed natural site is adored by hikers, cyclists, but also fishermen and sailing enthusiasts who like to meet there for a short water trip to discover the contours of the lake. In addition to lazing around, swimming and sand castle competitions, you can also try your hand at pedal boats, paddle boats or catamarans in a wild and original setting. Not far from there, the Hossegor lake (16 kilometres from Saint-Geours-de-Maremne) is a must see: a paradise of peace and quiet, it will be perfect for bubbling in the sun, brunch with your feet in the water and water activities. Water walks along the pine and cork oak trees, SUP, surfing, windsurfing, kayaking, golf and hiking in the shade of the trees will complete your discovery.

To be seen at last? The ocean beaches of Seignosse in particular, which are only 20 kilometres from Saint-Geours-de-Maremne. The main beach of the seaside resort, which is 6 kilometres long, is only very little frequented and is therefore a real paradise of tranquillity. Walking aficionados will enjoy the dunes that line the wide sandbank, while water sports enthusiasts can take advantage of these ocean beaches for kitesurfing, surfing, scuba diving, swimming and sunbathing competitions under the legendary Landes sun.
