It is 30 minutes from the ocean beaches, 40 minutes from Mont-de-Marsan and Bayonne or 1h45 from Bordeaux that the commune of Saint-Vincent-de-Paul is located. Covered a third of the way by large forests of pignadas and oaks, Saint-Vincent-de-Paul is known above all by the pilgrims who come to visit the Berceau Chapel, the birthplace of Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, also known as the "Ranquines". Reconstructed in 1700, it has been fitted out to allow the visitor to learn all about the life of the Saint and his journey. In addition to its historical side, this building is really worth a look for its astonishing dome, built during the 19th century in an incredible Byzantine style. Just next door, the old oak tree is worth seeing: it is here according to history that Saint Vincent used to keep his herd as a small child. Gigantic, with a circumference of 12.20 meters, this tree is more than 800 years old and was dug to build an oratory. Not far away, the hamlet of Buglose is also a must for pilgrims: often called the "Lourdes landais", this district of Saint-Vincent-de-Paul is home to a magnificent basilica, which has a grand statue of Notre-Dame, hidden during the wars of religion, and which is now proudly displayed within the walls of the building, built in the 18th century. In addition, this basilica is famous for its carillon, one of the most beautiful in the whole of France, known for its 60 bells that ring out poetically.

You can also visit the Botanical Garden of Saint-Vincent-de-Paul to discover the sometimes exuberantly shaped flowers, visit the Salomon district to discover its Gouadas washhouses, before stopping off at the Etang de la Glacière. Located in the heart of the village, it's the perfect place for a family fishing trip, but also for a walk in the coolness of the water, or for a slide session with the little ones thanks to play areas and picnic tables set up along the water's edge. On the hiking side, the commune of Saint-Vincent-de-Paul has a whole host of itineraries that criss-cross the village and the surrounding valleys. Via the roads to Santiago de Compostela, on the side of the Barthes de l'Adour about fifteen kilometres upstream from the town, or through its thick pine and deciduous forests and via the municipal green routes for cyclists and pedestrians (two routes of 5.1 and 6.8 kilometres), you will discover all the unspoilt beauty of this pretty corner of the Landes. Finally, the beaches of Soustons, Messanges, Seignosse and Moliets-et-Maa are only 30 minutes away, so don't miss out on a dip in the ocean.
