Between Seignosse and Cape Breton, in New-Aquitaine, Soorts-Hossegor takes place along the beaches of the Landes coast. Both sporty and chic, this destination, particularly popular with connoisseurs, amazes its visitors, more and more numerous every year.

To start your visit, head to the heart of the village, Soorts, easily recognizable by its warm atmosphere. You will not be able to pass by the splendid typically local whitewashed houses decorated with red or green woodwork, but also by the (oh so many) numerous villas of character that dot the centre of the village. On the seaside (Hossegor), here too the neobasque villas flourished during the 19th and 20th centuries thanks to the artists and writers who took up residence in the town. Today Soorts-Hossegor finally counts nearly 200 buildings of character, easily identifiable thanks to their marked architecture, made of splendid half-timberings and coloured ornaments. Take the time to stroll around the market to stock up on colourful fruit and vegetables and local delicacies (tapas, local hams, Landes chicken, cheeses with sweet chilli pepper, foie gras...), stroll through the Rosny Park, discover the Sporting-Casino, a masterpiece of early 20th century Basque architecture, admire the sportsmen playing at the Cesta Punta (a Landes sport), before heading for the Hossegor Marine Lake. Lovers of nautical activities? This is your paradise on earth! Paddle, paddle yoga and other water sports will be available for your sessions under the sun. You will also be able to enjoy the lake beaches, perfect for lazy breaks and family bathing in warm waters. Cycling and mountain biking enthusiasts will be delighted by the 40 kilometres of cycle paths that criss-cross the town, as well as the 163 kilometres of routes across the Landes, which will allow you to discover some of the most beautiful faces of Soorts-Hossegor and its surroundings. More of a golf fan? The seaside resort is known beyond the borders for its golf course, which is ranked among the 50 most beautiful in Europe. With its 18 holes and its technical course, it delights each year many amateurs of the discipline who frequently return to perfect their swing.
