Just a few kilometres from the Spanish border, Soustons is an ideal holiday destination for holidaymakers looking for a sporty and exotic stay under the sun. Bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and bathed by five lakes, Soustons is a city where life is good, and a favourite destination for water sports lovers in particular. A surfing spot recognised in the region, the Océane de Soustons beach is the ideal place for young and old to discover the joys of skiing. Very popular, it also makes the happiness of the vacationers fond of long afternoons of idleness under the sun. The beach of the sea lake of Port d'Albret is the main beach of the commune : very appreciated by the families who come to bathe in its fresh waters, it is especially famous for its numerous sporting activities. You can rent pedalos or dinghies, go kitesurfing, canoeing or surfing, but the lake is also known as an excellent spot for windsurfing and rowing, attracting many summer visitors every year. In addition to Lake Marin, Soustons is watered by 4 other superb bodies of water : Lake Soustons, fed by several rivers, is bordered by large stretches of pine trees and marshy banks. The place is ideal for walking or cycling, and the sunsets are sumptuous, especially on the Pointe des Vergnes side. You can also fish, windsurf, canoe, row and catamaran (among others). 6 kilometers long, the descent of the current of Soustons is to make absolutely ! With family or friends, you will appreciate the freshness of this excursion which will take you to the ocean, through the Landes forest. The Etang de Hardy is the smallest of the bodies of water in Soustons : a natural reserve of incomparable beauty, its fauna and flora are worth a look. In the heart of a protected area, the Etang Blanc is connected to the Etang de Hardy by a bridge. Its small beach, its colorful boats and its environment call for calm and relaxation in the middle of a varied flora. Finally, fifth and last lake to see during your stay in Soustons : the Etang de Pinsolle. Bordering the golf course of the same name, it is not far from the ocean. Its cork oaks and maritime pine paths invite you to relax and take a bike ride.

You will have guessed it, Soustons is also the hikers' paradise : thanks to its abundant and green nature, the seaside resort is teeming with walking paths, through its forests, dunes, parks and lakes. In all, more than 70 kilometres of marked routes and a "green" route will allow you to discover all the secrets of Soustons and its surroundings. You will also be able to tour the lakes by mountain bike, thanks to several bike paths, accessible to all. In addition to all these activities, orienteering circuits, an accrobranche course as well as a Basque pelota stadium and a boulodrome will fill the holidaymakers. As for the golf course of Pinsolle, the only water practice in the Landes, it is very famous in the region : its greens caressed by the sea air and surrounded by huge slender pines attract many golfers every year, eager to maintain their swing in a splendid natural setting.

As for gastronomy, the gourmands will not be disappointed : foie gras, duck breasts, confits, rillettes, hams and Landes salads will delight your taste buds !
