In Agen, stroll through the narrow streets of the historic center and appreciate the half-timbered houses, the rosary tower and the Penitents tower. Then visit the Cathedral of Saint-Caprais, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and presenting many styles due to the length of time it was built. But also admire the superb Pont-Canal and the building and the collections of the rich museum of Fine Arts. Then go to Villeneuve-sur-Lot and let yourself be amazed by the Cieutats bridge, the Pujols gate, the Sainte-Catherine church and the Lamothe castle.
Continue your discovery of Lot-et-Garonne by the numerous medieval villages that it shelters. The department has no less than 42 bastides, cities built in the Middle Ages around a central square decorated with arcades. The most famous of them is without any doubt Monflanquin, classified among the most beautiful villages of France. While visiting it you can admire the house of the Black Prince, the church of Saint-Andre and the castle of Roquefère. Then enjoy the bastides of Pujols, nestled behind its impressive ramparts, Villeréal, with its imposing 14th century wooden market hall or Vianne, built on the banks of the Baïse. But also take the time to admire the pretty villages of Nérac (castle, church), Beauville, Prayssas...
During your stay, take advantage of the large natural spaces to enjoy many activities. With 4500 km of marked trails, the Lot-et-Garonne is a real Eden for hikers who will be able to take the Clunisien trail linking the priory of Moirax to the cloister of Moissac. By bike, follow the superb canal des 2 mers under a canopy of plane trees or follow the Véloroute de la vallée du Lot. But many other leisure activities are waiting for you: river walks, canoeing, water parks, adventure parks, golf, horse riding... In the evening, after all these efforts, settle down on the terrace of a good restaurant to savor the local products: tomatoes from Marmande, foie gras, confits, strawberries, prunes from Agen, wines from Buzet and Côtes de Duras...
