Nestled in the hollow of one of the meanders of the Lot, in the Occitan region, Prayssac is one of the most beautiful jewels of Quercy. In the heart of the Lot valley, about thirty kilometres from Cahors, this natural and historical destination is worth the detour for cultural and exotic stays.

Prayssac, a green resort in the Cahors vineyards, has been organised around its church since the 8th century. Marked by history, this charming town sees its origins go back a long, long way, thanks to the many marks of the past left by the civilizations of the Neolithic period. Its path of dolmens is to be seen: you will be able to discover the dolmen of Bertrandoune, listed as a Historic Monument. 3.5 metres long and 2.5 metres wide, it is also close to the dolmen with the vestibule of Quetty, or the "armchair of Caesar", a rock carved in the shape of an armchair. To the list of historical heritage to be seen during your stay in Prayssac, you can add the Château du Théron, a former fortified castle flanked by a square tower from the 13th century, round towers from the 15th century and a chapel from the 14th century, as well as the church of Saint-Barthélemy, built in the second half of the 19th century.
