It is on the Rhuys peninsula, just at the entrance of the latter, that the town of Damgan is located. In the heart of Morbihan, a few steps from the Bay of Quiberon, it is the perfect place for an authentic holiday, to discover the charms of Brittany.

30 kilometres south of Vannes, Damgan is not far from the border with the Loire-Atlantique region, and a short distance from the wonderful Gulf of Morbihan. In the Regional Natural Park of the Gulf of Morbihan, this charming seaside resort has what it takes to make many hearts beat faster. Here, everything is turned towards the ocean, which tirelessly attracts and draws the contours of Damgan, offering to contemplate over the hours and seasons of landscapes always changing, always captivating. Well-known since the middle of the 20th century, the seaside resort of Damgan was once renowned for its port of Pénerf, one of the most important in Brittany, but also for its saltworks. Today, Damgan has become a well-known tourist resort and offers its visitors a wide range of activities to do as lovers, with family or friends. Also, take the time for a walk in the heart of Damgan, to discover many old houses dating from the 17th century, as well as imposing seaside villas, worthy of the most beautiful postcards. What to see? The villa Sainte-Anne, the villa Ker-Fleuret, or the famous villa Toul-Menez which hosted Guillaume Apollinaire during a stay in the late 1910s. But the visit does not stop there because Damgan has a rich heritage, which makes its success with lovers of beautiful stones. What to see? The church of Notre-Dame-de-Bonne-Nouvelle in neo-Romanesque style, the church of Saint-Pierre de Pénerf, or the Tour des Anglais on the peninsula of Pénerf, the only remaining fire tower on the Atlantic coast. The old thatched cottages of Kervoyal, the mill of Kervoyal, or an 18th century cannon complete the inventory of sites to discover.

After this visit of Damgan on the town side, let's go for an excursion on the coast! Here, the landscapes are made up of lagoon and coastal paths, perfect for a walk in the cool of the morning or for a hike or bike ride, in the direction of the tip of Kervoyal or the marshes of Saint-Guérin. But with more than 8 kilometers of coastline, the stars of Damgan are undoubtedly its beaches! If the Grande Plage and the one of Kervoyal are well known to holidaymakers because they are well equipped (beach volleyball courts, merry-go-round, sailing clubs, games for children...), others, such as the beach of Saint-Guérin, the one of Larmor or the creeks of Keroyal will be perfect for more intimate interludes at the water's edge. Whether you dream of basking in the sun, a refreshing break in the ocean, or even fishing on foot when the sea retreats, you are bound to find something to suit you. And when it comes to water sports, you'll be spoilt for choice! Kitesurfing, windsurfing, stand-up paddle, optimist, catamaran, kayaking, surfing... In short, a plethora of activities for all tastes! Shellfish and Breton cakes tasting, sea trips from the port of Pénerf, hiking via the GR34 or inland towards the Pointe de Pen Lan, La Roche-Bernard, Arzon, Sarzeau and its castle or Vannes will also be added to the "to-do list" of these holidays in Brittany!
