Sandy beaches, buckwheat pancakes, turquoise water, dunes and megaliths: this is how you could (very) briefly sum up your holiday in Erdeven. Situated in the south of the Brittany coast, between the Ria d'Étel and Carnac, Erdeven is, let it be said, always a good idea for a holiday in Brittany.

Surrounded by Groix and Quiberon, about thirty kilometres south of Lorient, Erdeven takes place in the heart of Morbihan. Bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, Erdeven unfolds before the astonished eyes of its visitors miles and miles of golden sandy beaches (8, to be precise) on which families and holidaymakers alike in search of adrenaline will inevitably find their happiness. Kerminihi beach, Porh Lineneu beach, Kerouriec beach (absolutely magnificent), Kerhilio beach (loved by families) and Porh Kerhouet beach will satisfy all your desires, both in terms of swimming and sunbathing. It is impossible to stay in Erdeven without taking advantage of its ideal location near the famous Ria d'Etel, to discover all the pleasures of water sports. And there are numerous activities along the coast of Erdeven, from surfing to paddle, sailing, sea kayaking, longe-côte or even kitesurfing, a very popular activity in the area because of its spots which attract the fervent admirers of the discipline.

There are many hiking routes through Erdeven, so you can discover all the most beautiful faces. The "Voie Verte n°5", the "Sentier de la Roche Sèche", the "Sentier des Villages", the "Sentier de la Vieille Route", the "Sentier de l'Océan", the "Sentier des Mégalithes" or the GR34 which runs along the whole of Brittany are all perfect circuits to visit the smallest corners of Erdeven. During these excursions, you will see all the richness of the cultural heritage of this Breton city: the calvaries, the dolmens, the path of the megaliths, but also the alignments of menhirs of Kerzerho (a little like its neighbour Carnac, even if they are only 190 in total), the old chapels, the fountains, the mills, the castle of Keravéon and the manor of Kercadio will plunge you into the heart of the splendours of the regional heritage. And for a complete discovery, there is nothing better than a walk along the Erdeven coast, from Porh-Kerhouet to the Pointe de Porh-Lineneü, through the dunes of Erdeven Kerminihy-Kerhilio, and the banks of the Étel. If this outing is rather sporty, it is however really worth the detour, for the magnificence of the panoramas that it allows you to embrace on the ocean (really magnificent at sunset).

Finally passing through Erdeven, if you are travelling by car, we can only recommend that you push your visit a little further to discover some of the most beautiful sites that Brittany has to offer: Carnac and its alignments, Étel and its wonderful Ria, Groix, Quiberon and its wild beaches, Locmariaquer and the Golfe du Morbihan will surely put stars in your eyes.
