Set by the sea with its immense pine forest, the seaside resort of Le Touquet, shaped by the 1930s, is authentic, dynamic and full of grace. The ideal time during your stay at Le Touquet is to leave your car behind and opt for a much greener means of transport : the bicycle ! Best ally of your holidays, it will lead you through the touquettoises streets a little obsolete bordered of superb Art Deco residences as well as many villas of Anglo-Norman style. The town hall of Le Touquet is a good example of the atypism of the town in terms of architecture. Imposing and original, with its air of English manor houses, this building recognizable thanks to its belfry of 38 meters testifies to the opulence of the seaside resort, which has in all more than 20 buildings registered with the inventory of the Historic Monuments. Among this list, we advise you not to miss the Phare de la Canche, classified as a Historic Monument since 2010. An architectural jewel perched more than 57 metres high, this 1947 lighthouse is the guardian of the seaside resort. Impressive, it offers at the end of its 274 steps a breathtaking panorama on Le Touquet, the coast and the neighbouring resorts.

The streets starting from Le Touquet will allow you some shopping parentheses : in all, there are more than 300 shops and boutiques open every day of the week that dot the streets of the resort. The rue Saint-Jean in particular is worth the detour, before entering the Touquet market : lively and gourmet, it is the obligatory passage for epicurean travellers curious to taste the local flavours, from Samer strawberries to Ratte du Touquet, without forgetting famous Blue Cat chocolates. There are many restaurants where you can taste Touquettois dishes : we also advise you to taste the famous mussels and chips, welsh, freshly caught seafood, fish soup or potjevlesch, so many tasty dishes that make the gastronomic reputation of the resort. After a good gourmet dinner in one of the elegant brasseries of Le Touquet, night owls can head to the discos and casinos that bloom along the coast to celebrate this holiday until the early morning.

But above all, the seaside resort of Le Touquet is famous for its many sporting activities. Worshipped by summer vacationers and sand yachting enthusiasts, its long beach of clear sand is lined with water renowned for its invigorating virtues.
