A listed green tourism resort, Bourbon-Lancy is a thermal and medieval town, well known to nature lovers and escape lovers. In the southwest of Burgundy, on the right bank of the Loire, this charming village extends over beautiful wooded hills as far as the foothills of the Morvan and Charolais mountains. Historical, this municipality is full of many attractions, starting with a very beautiful built heritage. Its medieval district, in the heart of the village, is all that is most picturesque: here, half-timbered houses and old balconies rub shoulders with abundant colourful flowers for bucolic walks in this district with such a rich history. The ramparts promenade is a must, as are the Chemin des Tours, Notre-Dame Street, the Sentier des Remparts, the Lue aux Loups, the Town Hall, Pingré Street and the Place de l'Ermitage. A Cluny site, Bourbon-Lancy stands out for its beautiful Romanesque church of Saint-Nazaire (now a museum), its medieval enclosure, its church of the Sacred Heart, but also for its high belfry: the former main gate of the walled city, it is also called the "Tour de l'Horloge". The Collegiate Garden, the "Beurdin", the entire Clock District, the crystal works, the Saarland and Puzenat castles or the Aigre Foundation are added to your list of visits.

The commune also has some developed water bodies, such as Le Breuil, very popular for walks, with a beautiful 4 km course through the shaded paths that border the swimming area. During the summer, this lake is appreciated by holidaymakers who come to find a little freshness. Its sandy beach, waterslide, playgrounds and water activities make it a must for families! Need a green break? Head for Parc Puzenat (towards the thermal district) or the natural site of Le Fleury, just on the banks of the Loire. The canton of Bourbon-Lancy is full of perfect routes for experienced and novice walkers. In all, 24 hiking trails for all levels await you in this green setting, and will allow you to discover all the most beautiful faces of the municipality, from its vast valleys to its highest points: "Beurdin des Bois" (12.5 kilometres), "Beurdin des Champs" (14.5 kilometres), but also the paths of the Voie Verte or the Grande Traversée du Massif Central by mountain bike (the "GTMC") will constitute perfect routes for children and adults. A city of water crossed by the Loire (perfect for canoeing), Bourbon-Lancy has been recognized since ancient times as one of the best spa destinations in Burgundy.
