A small, quiet village next to Fécamp, Colleville, in Normandy, is located in the Seine-Maritime department. In the Valmont valley, in the heart of the countryside, the commune is in an absolutely perfect location to discover some of the most emblematic sites of the department. 70 kilometres from Rouen and less than 10 minutes from the beaches of the Côte d'Albâtre, this charming commune is definitely the perfect place to stay if you are looking for peace and quiet. Here, no fuss, no major tourist routes, no crowds, Colleville is a quiet place and not very busy, and that's why we love it. In terms of heritage, you will certainly appreciate the discreet elegance of its buildings, which the town invites you to discover along its streets. To see? The church of Saint-Martin built in 1860, the ruins of the former 11th century church near the river, but also the former sugar factory and the former railway station are must-sees. This disused station is a must in Colleville for those who love hiking, since the Véloroute du Lin passes through Colleville and its former railway now transformed into a Greenway. A multi-route itinerary criss-crossing the Pays de Caux, the Véloroute du Lin (flax cycle route) linking Pourville-sur-Mer to Fécamp will take you on a 75-kilometre journey between flax and sea to discover the Normandy region, its fields, its villages and its inhabitants! You can also take the Véloroute du Littoral which, as its name suggests, offers magnificent walks along the coast.

Colleville is also appreciated by fishermen who can fish for trout in the Étangs Collevillais, magnificent stretches of water located between two forests in the hollow of a valley that is particularly suitable for walking. And if you prefer sea excursions to lake excursions, then head for Fécamp without hesitation! Its beaches and its white chalk cliffs, as if out of time, are only 6 kilometres from the village of Colleville. Our advice? Take the time to walk along the Valleuse d'Életot or the Valleuse de Senneville, to contemplate the astonishing beauty of the cliffs of the Côte d'Albâtre which run into the sea. As far as swimming is concerned, you will certainly have to opt for one of the many pebble beaches on the coast for lazing around (yes, we assure you, it can be comfortable all the same!), or if you like thrills, set your sights on the wide range of water sports available in the seaside resort. In addition to swimming, you can opt for a paddle board ride, catamaran lessons, windsurfing, renting canoes or sea kayaks for an arm's length trip along the cliffs, or even scuba diving. Outings to the casino, dinners with your feet in the water and other bucolic interludes by the sea will complete this stay in Normandy.
