A long dike, dunes as far as the eye can see, a huge sandy beach, a paradise for swimmers and windsurfers: welcome to Quend! A star seaside resort on the Baie de Somme, Quend is THE family destination par excellence where you can plant your parasol.

Ideally located between the Baie de Somme and the Baie d'Authie, Quend and its coastal part of Quend-Plage-les-Pins is a real little concentrate of nature. Elegant to perfection, it enjoys an ideal location in the heart of Marquenterre, a paradise for birds, seals and outdoor enthusiasts. Here, lovers of wide open spaces and unspoilt landscapes will be delighted: take the time to walk along its wild dunes to observe the abundant flora and fauna that has made its home along the Quend coast. For the whole family, the Parc du Marquenterre is a must to do during your stay: an immense ornithological park, this large forest reserve made up of dunes, ponds and marshes is a place for observing migratory birds renowned beyond the region's borders. With its three loops of visits, you will be able to admire storks, spoonbills, herons, chickadees, ducks, buzzards, gulls, gannets and other migratory birds passing through the reserve thanks to the presence of small observation huts. Easily accessible as it is located in the neighbouring commune of Saint-Quentin-en-Tourmont, it is one of the most visited sites on the Opal Coast. On the side of the Bay of Authie, little sister of the Bay of the Somme, the grandiose spectacle of a colony of sea calves and grey seals will amaze the whole family. If they are easily observable in the water, you will also be able to meet seals taking their nap at low tide on the wide sandbanks of the bay. If the visit is easily done alone, we recommend that you are accompanied by a guide who will explain everything about these animals and their life on the coast.

After a good ride through the dunes and marshes surrounding Quend, you will head for the heart of the city. Here, life revolves around the Avenue Adéodat Vasseur: as you stroll along this pedestrian street, you will discover a whole host of small souvenir shops, ice-cream parlours, waffle shops, pancake shops, inflatable buoys, as well as a wide range of restaurants and a merry-go-round for children. If "Jules" is an institution for its gourmet gastronomy, its mussels and its tables with a sea view, the "Nautilus" will delight seafood lovers and the "Monkey-Bar" those who wish to have a drink on the terrace. Little advice: don't hesitate to rent a rosalie to discover Quend: laughter and memories guaranteed!

Finally, it is impossible to stay in Quend without enjoying its coast, which is more than 15 kilometres long. A paradise for hikers, paragliding and sand yachting fans, the Quend coastline will suit all your desires. Swimming, lazing on the beach, kitesurfing, fishing on foot, horseback riding on the seaside and paddle will delight fans of nautical activities. If, instead of sea activities, you prefer those on land, then the 18-hole golf course, the mini-golf course, the numerous bicycle paths that cross Quend and the resort's accrobranche course will complete your stay.

unfortunately with the restrictions the possibility to go to the restaurant was spoiled, some restaurants were closed, the lack of a bakery or a grocery store of vacancy miss in a period such as July-August.
