In the heart of the Vendée countryside, south-east of the Marais Breton, the small town of Coëx lies halfway between Saint-Jean-de-Monts and Les Sables-d'Olonne. About fifteen kilometres from the beaches of the Vendée, this 100% natural destination is the ideal place to stay for a holiday in the countryside.

At a glance, it is easy to understand where the city of Coëx gets its name from: meaning "wooded place" in Celtic, Coëx is resolutely a green destination, a real oxygen bubble just a few kilometres from the sea. Quiet, far enough from the hustle and bustle of the seaside to avoid the crowds but close enough to enjoy its assets, Coëx is a real paradise for holidaymakers who love walking and hiking. With its 4 hiking trails inland, you can discover in a few hours all the charm of the Vendée countryside and this quiet village. Its playful and thematic routes, its bamboo grove, its discovery areas, its tropical valley, its Japanese garden and its Alder valley will certainly surprise you. Not to be missed: the Belvedere, which offers an unobstructed view of the oldest part of the garden.

To not miss anything of the charms of the Vendée and its coastline, head for the beaches of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie: family and sporting, they will be able to satisfy all your summer desires.
