We went to the side of St Gilles to walk on the Grande Plage, in the streets of souvenirs and at the restaurant La Playa (crêperie), which we recommend. We also went to Sion to walk on the Grey Dune!

St Hilaire is very spread out but allows very easily to go to the other cities. Unfortunately, with the sanitary conditions, it is difficult to discover shops and activities

In Saint Jean de Monts there are all the shops (3 kilometres away). If you want to buy fish, shellfish and crustaceans, we recommend the "Marée Montoise", near the church.

At the end of the esplanade in St Jean de Mont, we recommend a very good creperie: "L'Estacade". Reception and impeccable service (it is better to book before going there). Small suggestion: the Top Chef accompanied by the famous UFO...

Feel like an unusual evening? Go to "La Bourrine à Loulou" a few meters from the hamlet. For 9 euros all inclusive you will spend the evening in a friendly place, you will taste quality products, while enjoying a concert! To test it is to adopt it.

Restaurant "Le Boisvinet" in St Gilles Croix de Vie at 3kms at the top ! Lots of cycle tracks for bikes, the beaches are more beautiful towards St Gilles than on St Hilaire but family beaches above all.

Especially book in advance for any activity (boat crossing to Yeu Island: we have not found anything available anymore). Difficult during the covid to recommend a restaurant: there is a lot of choice, really. If you go further, towards Saint Nazaire, book any visit for the submarine or the Atlantic Paquebots visit as there is no room when going directly.

For the fans of accrobranche, go to the "Grand Défi" : nice park, cheap, with accrobranche, paintball,.... (half an hour drive from the campsite).

"Le Café de la Plage": we are particularly well placed facing the sea (as its name suggests). Very friendly welcome and simple and appetizing menu.
