Known as one of the most elegant places on the planet, where nature lovers and jet-setters meet, Lake Como is undoubtedly the ideal place for a romantic stay. Between lake and mountains, authenticity and refinement, the town of Pianello del Lario is no exception to the rule, offering a dream setting in which to enjoy the Italian dolce vita.

On the western shore of Lake Como, a few steps from Switzerland, Pianello del Lario is a real little nugget. In the province of Como, in the Lombardy region, this Italian town is made up of a whole bunch of small hamlets such as Saliana, Mianico, Riva, Maggiana, Garuso, Calozzo or Bellera and Crotti. Here the houses are old and full of character, decorated with antique frescoes and small shutters that give the village a particular picturesque charm. Spread out along the slopes of Monte Bregagni, these hamlets have revealed over the centuries some beautiful treasures of the ancient Roman era. Our advice? Take your camera and stroll along the side of Calozzo to see the town hall and the beautiful houses lining the shores of the lake. For beautiful views of Lake Como, you should go to Maggiana, Sant'Anna and Rovezzano, for incomparable views, as impressive during the day as at sunrise and sunset. The church of St. Martino is worth a visit for its beautiful frescoes and treasures, its marble sculptures and its very old altar.

Created with the aim of perpetuating nautical traditions, this museum has an impressive collection of emblematic boats of Lake Como, from the Venetian gondola of the 19th century to the fishing boat, passing by small motorboats and the "quatrass", boats that are the legend of Lake Como throughout the world!
