As far as nature is concerned, the caves of Castellana are among the unmissable in Puglia and are one of the most important tourist attractions in the region. Three kilometres long and over 70 metres deep, they are the largest in Italy. If the place is ideal for hiking, speleology is also very popular with visitors. A little further on, Lecce is one of Apulia's leading destinations : a veritable open-air museum whose charm you will inevitably fall under, Lecce and the Salento region are also famous for hosting some of Apulia's most beautiful beaches. For moments of idleness under the legendary Italian sun, head for the "Alimini Beach" adored for its warm waters, "Porto Badisco" and its magnificent cove, "Torre Dell Orso" or "Punta della Suina".
