Spreading out in the heart of Tuscany, in the middle of the Arno River plain, the Province of Pisa borders the Ligurian Sea. Between visiting museums and cities of character, discovering its landscapes bathed in light, relaxing moments on its beaches and diving into its clear waters, the Province of Pisa definitely has everything to please.

Thanks to the multiplicity of its reliefs and landscapes, the Province of Pisa will conquer the hearts of many holidaymakers. Its wide plains and calm reliefs are ideal for moments of relaxation and discovery, especially during hikes and mountain expeditions. The Metalliferous Mountains in the south of the province attract the curious due to the geothermal activity of the site when the mountains of Monti Pisani in the north mark the border with the province of Lucca. How to evoke the Province of Pisa without speaking of its world famous capital ? For if there is one city that you should not miss under any pretext during this stay, it is Pisa. To begin your visit, take a walk around Piazza dei Miracoli : it is here that you can admire the famous Tower of Pisa, its impressively beautiful baptistery, its cathedral and the Camposanto Monumental Cemetery. Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, these buildings have the particularity of symbolizing the cycle of life, from birth to death. If you were to choose only one of these monuments to visit, you should without hesitation bet on the Leaning Tower. Inclined at 5° because of its formerly unstable ground, it attracts many tourists who immortalize it from all angles. Amazing and majestic, it is one of the symbols of Italy. The Piazza dei Cavaliers (Cavaliers Square), the second tourist site not to be missed, is the place to stroll par excellence : lined with pretty narrow streets with medieval arches, it is one of the unmissable of your stay. The atypical church of San Michele in Borgo, built between two houses, is also worth a visit. Borgo Stretto is full of traditional restaurants, cafés and shops ideal for Italian-style shopping. Walk along the canals of Pisa to admire the splendour of the medieval palaces, the Palazzo Lanfranchi and the San Matteo National Museum located in a former convent. Near this museum is a magnificent street art fresco painted by Keith Haring, the "Tuttomondo Mural".

On the idleness side and parentheses under the sun, the coast of the Province of Pisa is composed of superb beaches lined with dunes and thick pine forests that contrast with the wild nature of the hinterland. Marina di Pisa is one of the most popular destinations in the province : located 10 kilometres from Pisa, this city is a curious mixture of traditional Tuscany and modern seaside town. Its picturesque pedestrian streets, antique villas, baroque church and numerous restaurants and discos make it a destination of choice for sunbathing. Known for its "trabucchi", traditional fishing huts, it is appreciated for its charming seaside. From its beaches, the panoramas on the mountains and the immensity of the sea are breathtaking. The beaches of Tirrenia and Calambrone, to the south of the municipality, also attract many holidaymakers : stretching as far as the eye can see, these beaches on the Pisa coast are lined with cycle paths, ideal for walks with family or friends. As for water sports, on the beaches or in more intimate coves, you can windsurf, canoe, beach volleyball, and enjoy the beauty of the water for a few refreshing fathoms because we know it: the thermometer can quickly climb on Italian beaches !

Finally, it is impossible to mention the Province of Pisa without talking about gastronomy.
