Since the 50's, the main destination of seaside tourism in Spain is the Costa del Sol ! It was at this time that the coast of the province of Málaga became the privileged holiday resort of many celebrities. Since then, this touristic (and historical) paradise attracts visitors from all over the world with its more favorable climate and its beaches of which one does not see the end.

One can not pass in this region without making a stop on the beautiful Málaga, city several thousand years old created by the Phoenicians in the 8th century BC. J-C. Over the centuries, the city has attracted many Roman, Visigoth, Arab and Christian civilizations. This immense cultural heritage, one finds it in particular in an astonishing place where are confronted two grandiose eras. One can see first the Alcazaba ("citadel" in Arabic), fortified palace and typical model of the military architecture of the period. This true jewel of Muslim art built in 1063 proudly stands at the foot of Mount Gibralfaro. Barely ten meters below, an even more ancient monument contrasts with this colossal ensemble : the Roman theater of Málaga, imposing vestige of this civilization. Such an architectural cohabitation is as rare as it is striking and truly worth a look

The Costa del Sol is also a meeting point for golf enthusiasts. Approximately 70 quality sites stretch over the province, located in natural areas to contemplate the captivating beauty of the coast in full play. If you are rather devoted to lazing around, the Malaguine coast has more than ten kilometers bordered by peaceful maritime walks. Near the mouth of the Guadalhorce river, a refuge for many migratory birds, visit the charming beach of Guadalmar to enjoy the exceptional sunshine of the coast.

Torremolinos is also a popular seaside resort for lovers of the Costa del Sol ! Let yourself be seduced by this former fishing port with unparalleled charm. A short trip to La Carihuela, the ancient marine area full of vestiges of this great era, will not disappoint you. Rhythmed all day by the street musicians, its streets breathe the joy of living. Further on, take the famous Paseo Maritimo along the seaside for a summer walk with friends or family. And if delicious smells give you water to mouth, it is that the path is lined with many restaurants that only want one thing : to let you discover the delicious flavors of southern Spain !
