Explore Palamós
It is on the Costa Brava, famous for its beautiful beaches and tourist resorts, that the city of Palamos is located. Halfway between the French border and Barcelona, it benefits from an ideal location, perfect for a holiday in the sunny change of scenery, immersed in the heart of an idyllic setting facing the sea. Its Mediterranean climate will guarantee you long sunny days, in a "caliente" atmosphere !
This small seaside resort has enough to conquer the hearts of its visitors with its 9 beaches and coves all more beautiful than the others. Its rugged coastal relief alternates wide stretches of sand, but also, nestled between the rocks, dazzling coves with blue and crystalline waters. Take the round path that runs along the coast to discover the beauty of the shore of this city in the province of Girona : ideal and make this walk at sunrise, when temperatures are not too high to enjoy the light and calm that emerges from the sea.
When the sun is at its zenith, make a few fathoms in the Mediterranean to cool off and take shelter in the shade of a parasol, on the Gran platja, the Fosca platja or the Castell platja. The latter, long and wild, is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Costa Brava. Bordered by maritime pines, it is one of the last virgin and preserved beaches on the coast. A true example in terms of environmental preservation, this beach is cherished and protected by the inhabitants of Palamos, who are fighting against its urbanization. On the white sand and in the shallow water of these beaches, many activities are offered to holidaymakers : beach volleyball, windsurfing, scuba diving, kayaking, surfing, kitesurfing or fun-boarding. Those who prefer to loll on the warm sand of the coves of Palamos will not fail to go to the coves of Margarida, Corbs and Estreta, to enjoy unforgettable panoramas in the middle of the rocks.
Take the time to visit the city and its coast : on foot or by bike, many "green paths" criss-cross Palamos, for pleasant walks between land and sea. The port of Palamos is worth a visit: located between the Gran platja and the town's lighthouse, it is renowned for the quality of its fish and shrimp. If you do not come to Palamos for its activities (many !), then it is certainly for its gastronomy. Famous throughout the world for its famous prawns caught in the waters along its coastline, the village is also known for its typical and tasty dishes. In all, there are about 70 restaurants and other "chiringuitos" in this seaside resort: you will have all the leisure to taste fresh fish, shrimp, langoustines, but also tapas, "annealed" (a dessert made from sheep's milk) and montaditos, all facing the Mediterranean landscapes.
