4 hours flight from Paris, Yaiza is one of those little corners of paradise whose secret we like to keep secret. Located on the southern part of the island of Lanzarote, in the province of Las Palmas, Yaiza is one of the best preserved villages in the Canary Islands. With several awards for its beauty, Yaiza will amaze you with the splendour of its narrow streets and white houses planted with shrubs and colourful flowers. All these colours contrast with the environment of Yaiza, a volcanic landscape made of ochre and black tones, resulting from the many large eruptions that took place during the 18th century. Take the time to get lost in the heart of its old town, to discover the church of Our Lady of Remedies (Nuestra Senora de los Remedios), the patron saint of the village, as well as the Casa de la Cultura, famous for its staircases and splendid wooden balconies.

One of Yaiza's assets? Undoubtedly the Parque Nacional de Timanfaya: in the heart of the main volcanic area of the island of Lanzarote, this nature reserve has more than 25 volcanoes. Also known as the "Montanas del Fuego" (Mountains of Fire), the Timanfaya Montanas are a huge open-air playground for hiking enthusiasts. An unmissable attraction? the Islote de Hilario (Islet of Hilario), accessible from the LZ-67 road: in the heart of lunar landscapes, this magical and curious volcanic eminence is one of the hottest places on the island, so that the subsoil temperature, displaying more than 140 degrees, allows you to burn a piece of wood in an instant. On site, you can participate in geothermal experiments, observe geysers or dine in the panoramic restaurant that overlooks all the hills of Montanas del Fuego. Walk through the wine valley of La Geria, the Charco de Los Clicos also known as "Lago Verde", to finish your excursions on the breathtaking cliffs of Los Hevideros.

But the reason why you will certainly come back to Yaiza is because of the spectacular beauty of the coastline. With many wonderful beaches and coves, the coast along Yaiza is breathtakingly beautiful. The pebble beach of Quemadar and the amazing black sandy beaches of Janubio and El Paso will amaze you with their wild and unspoilt side. With the family, the beaches of Playa Blanca, Playa Dorada and Flamingo beach will be ideal for long afternoons of sunbathing. Well equipped and lined with promenades on which you will find many restaurants, they have all the cards in hand to ensure you perfect idleness breaks. In addition to swimming, you can also go scuba diving and boat rides. Finally, how can we not mention the beaches of Papagayo and Los Charcones de Janubio?
