Looking for calm, sea and sun, far from the crowds of tourists in summer? Head for Búger, a charming village in the northwest of the island of Majorca, Spain.

Ideal for stays of tranquility and panoramic views of the Bay of Alcúdia, the village of Búger (the smallest in Mallorca) is the ideal place for a holiday in the Balearic Islands. Absolutely typical, it is one of those places that is both exotic and yet so warm where everyone instantly feels at home. Once isolated and not very popular with tourists, Búger is now enjoying a resurgence of popularity, thanks to its privileged location far from the frenzy of coastal cities, but close enough to be able to enjoy it.

Perched at an altitude of 106 metres, Búger will delight cyclists thanks to its winding roads, which promise beautiful, rather sporty escapades with breathtaking views of Puig Tomir, Bec de Ferrutx, Puig de Massanella and the famous Puig Major. Along its paths dotted with old houses, fragrant orange trees and almond trees in bloom, you can enjoy the fresh air while contemplating the splendours of its panoramas. Take the time to visit its heart of the village, from Plaça de la Constitutio to Teatre Parroquial, before venturing into the wooded plains that surround the town. Pass through Inca, Selva, Campanet and Sa Pobla, well known for its many summer celebrations and the "Festes de Sant Antoni Abat", before continuing your journey towards the sea.

About twenty minutes from the town, the Albufera de Mallorca Natural Park on the shores of Alcúdia Bay is the perfect place for 100% natural walks. Made up of lagoons and dunes, this wetland, the largest of all the Balearics, is a real paradise for migratory birds. On foot, by bike or by boat, equipped with binoculars or a camera, from its paths or canals, we strongly recommend you visit this park with its abundant vegetation.

About twenty kilometres from the centre of Búger, the beaches of Alcúdia Bay are among the most beautiful in Mallorca. The Port of Alcúdia and its long sandy beaches with golden reflections is well known to the island's inhabitants: particularly well exposed, it offers an ideal idleness setting. Its neighbour, Playa de Muro, is a little quieter. Perfect for children thanks to its shallow waters, it will amaze you with the splendour of its turquoise water. Easy to access, this beach, recognizable by its long pontoon, is also popular with water sports enthusiasts. You can rent a pedal boat, kayak, kitesurf, or even rent a boat for an excursion along the Mallorcan coast.

With your family, the Hidropark d'Alcúdia is a must during your visit: this amusement park, located just a few minutes from Búger, is a small paradise for children. With its huge slides, wave pools, golf courses and fun water activities, it will delight young and old alike.

Finally, how can you stay in Búger without enjoying the delights of its cuisine? Taste ensaïmada, the Mallorcan pastry par excellence, but also soubressade, salted biscuits from Muro and Inca, olive oil from local produce, the island's wines or herbs, plant liqueurs that are particularly appreciated by the inhabitants of Mallorca.
