An hour's drive south of Valencia, facing the Balearic Islands, Oliva is located on the Mediterranean coast. The second largest city in the county of La Safor, it is about 100 kilometres from Alicante. Above all, Oliva is an exception on the Spanish coast, as it is one of the most unspoilt seaside destinations in the whole country. In a privileged environment, Oliva offers nearly 9 kilometres of golden sandy beaches perfect for bubbling under the sun. The virgin beach of Terranova, those of Pau-Pi (family), Aigua Blanca (bordered by chiringuitos and a long seafront promenade), Rabdells beach surrounded by dunes, Aigua Morta beach (known for its golf course) and the Deveses further south of Oliva will satisfy all your swimming desires, in a warm and shallow water, ideal for children and adults. Sportsmen? The Oliva Yacht Club offers a wide range of activities for all tastes and budgets: sailing, kitesurfing, water skiing, banana boat, wakeboard, paddle, windsurfing and catamaran will give rhythm to your afternoons under the Spanish sun.

In addition to its attractive coastline, Oliva is an authentic and captivating village, rich in a marked heritage that will delight history lovers and culture lovers. Take time to stroll through the narrow and intertwined streets of the city, to discover Calla de la Hoz Street, or the Tossalet del Doix lookout, which offers splendid views of the city and the coast. Walk along the Vila Condal to discover the Ethnological Museum, elegant and cosy residences as well as the remains of an old palace. Climb to the top of the Oliva mountain to discover its imposing castle, the Sainte-Marie church or the emblematic San Roque church, recognizable by its blue domes. Several hiking routes as well as cycle-tourist loops criss-cross Oliva, allowing you to discover all its aspects, from the Marjal Pego-Oliva Natural Park to Puig Covatelles, passing through the Puig del Frare, the water source of the Font Salada and the road to the Font de Maria Rosa.

In addition to attracting lovers of idleness, sunshine and water activities, Oliva also seduces fans of authentic cuisine. Valencian paella, Calfo-style shells, figatells and other "Pebreres Farcides" will delight your taste buds.

The La casa de la Ola restaurant, a 5-10 minute walk from the accommodation, is perfect for a drink on the terrace, tapas or a good meal. The Olibaba beach bar is also great for a drink at the end of the day... It's possible to eat there, but we didn't try it... Valencia, 90 km away, is a must-see!
